Diabetes are of 2 types i.e. type 1 and type 2. Type 1 is insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and type 2 is non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. In type 1, u r required to use insulin injections whereas type 2 can be controlled with oral drugs and diet and exercise.

Type one means no insiln discharge from pancreas at all. That may be due to several reasons mosly from birth it self, gone un noticed. Secretion of insulin is totally absent and there fore insulin administration from external means is eesential. Type 2 diabetes is due to malfunction of pancreas which release insulin in an erratic way, mosly less than the requirement of your body. This condition usually starts by about 45 years of age and is mostly heriditiary.Every one whose family members like mother, father and close relatives are diabetes is liable to get diabetes and this can be closely followed and controlled but not cured by any means in the present times.
