Sugar is a highly processed and and concentrated carbohydrate which elevates the blood sugar level immediately.It is not toxic but you should remember as to what it does to your sugar levels.I never take sugar with coffee or tea,avoid eating sweets( with rare exceptions),

and do not consume fruits immediately after food.
