You posted this four years ago and surprisingly no reply has been found to be noticed which is really unfortunate. Since I live in Kolkata, it is difficult for me to suggest a good and economical endocrinologist for you in Ambala. But I can share my experience as how to choose a good endo. First, ask the people you know about good endos in that location and also ask their reviews about those endos and this will help you a lot. You have another option left which is to approach the PGI,Chandigarh (if possible) even for once and then get yourself treated there and ask that doctor about a good endo in your locality, if you can't really frequently visit PGI,Chandigarh. Based on my experience, I have found that Govt. Doctors are the best, reasonable and very economical too as they visit so many patients regularly which gives them enough experience and confidence in this field. You know the problem with reputed private endos is that they often prescribe high cost medicines coupled with unnecessary high value medical tests even though the ailments could be treated well with very low cost medicines ( known as generic medicines) and with simple or all medical tests in Govt. Hospitals too (with very lesser costs) as Govt. Hospitals could be easily held accountable for medical negligence.
