Fasting blood sugar: After 8 to 12 hours of fasting.

Post-prandial blood sugar: 2 hours after taking meals.

In the lab, venous blood is analysed for glucose. At home, capillary blood is analysed for blood sugar.

Accu Chek Active and One Touch Ultra glucose meters are available in the market. You can purchase the same from Margin Free shops. If you purchase Accu-Check Active, You can purchase 100 test strips at a reduced cost.(Only Rs.13/- per strip).

I am using Accu-Chek Active Glucose meter.
