Diabestes type 2 ,Tablets or insulation is good for the body?

I personally think insulin. My argument is since body fails to deliver insulin, it is better to replenish from outside. Tablets can only boost the process but can not produce insulin.

This is my theory and I may be incorrect.

When doctors advised me to switch over to insulin they said that it will give less pressure to liver which oral medication does. Also they claim that insulin keeps you away from further complications of diabetes.
