HOW CAN ONE DISTINGUISH DIABETES TYPE 1 AND TYPE 2? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM?
Type 1 is when you've become insulin dependant. Insulin is no more produced in the body at this time. Type 2 is the onset of diabetes caused my insulin resistance, mostly controllable with oral medication, lifestyle changes etc. Does this answer your question?
Thanks for the reply gentleman!
Pleasure.
Type 1 diabetes usually happens at an early age and is usaully very vigorous , thus the symtoms are visible after a short period of time. On the other hand type 2 diabetes is like a silent killer with no immediate symtoms and by the time it is visible it has progressed to greater stage. In type 1 diabetes insulin is not produced by the pancreas due to damage to the beta cells. in type diabetes production of insulin is there but it is ineffective due variety of reasons
