Fasting has to be done sensibly. Always be alert to hypoglycemia. If you fast, be prepare if neceassry to break the fast with a sugary drink followed by starch - also, if fasting tips you over into high levels, then make sure you go straight to hospital as this can be very dangerous... To summarise: it is possible to fast with diabetes but do not excercise during the fast and also, be ready to break that fast if need be - religious law permits this. Check with your religious leader/guru.
