Hi naru2002 ,

A CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor) is used for knowing what the blood sugars are during the day and night by using a sensor with a transmitter and a phone app/receiver.

The CGM shows how your food/exercise can raise/lower blood sugars.

I hope this helps. Does your doctor want you to use a CGM?

My PP sugar level is less than 130-140 and sugar level after meal is 170-180 ( with medicine GP 1), but the HBA1C is 7.8 . So my doctor suggested me for CGM to identity any hidden reason for this pattern. I want to know how can get optimal benefit of this.

What do you usually eat during the day and evening/night? How many carbs. are you allowed at each meal/snack? Does your doctor have you counting carbs.?

CGM is good, I use Freestyle Libre, it is costly but you can use it on and off, gives you better insights into sugar varioations throughout the day and is 96% accurate
