What is the upper limit of fasting blood glucose where it is not damaging to the organs (provided HbA1C is tightly managed - say below 5.5). For many keeping FBG below 100 may not be feasible.

Fasting Blood Glucose
Thanks for the ideal values to strive for. 90 is near impossible for many who progressed to diabetes via IFG route. Hence my question around the safer (if not the safest) upper limit. 126 is obviously very damaging.

Many are achieving fasting of 90 or around by adopting a low carb approach
Also a liver cleansing with milk thistle / silymarin helps in getting the fasting reduced provided you are type 2.
Almost all type 2 suffer from some degree of fatty liver and the above sets it right
it can take anywhere from 3 months to a year to get the liver back in shape from the abuse it has undergone with all the wrong kind of foods we may have had prior to diagnosis
Correct. Am a T2D. My battle with IFG continues. My FBG distribution in a typical month for under 100, below 110 and below 120 is 15-40-45. This hepatic IR is frustrating. Let me try whats recommended. Am on approx 50g carb per day (includes protein). 16:8 and exercise.
