In UK, Mail on Sunday Doector answers the above question.

Please read this useful information.

"High blood pressure is one of the biggest risk factors for stroke and heart attacks, so it's vital to bring it down as soon as a doctor spots it. It often goes undetected until another problem prompts a GP to check it."

The article says :(1) vegetarian food can lower weight

(2) Lower blood pressure because veg food is a low calori food ...

However , our whole plant food what we are discussing is much more than vegetarian food .. for example...

White bread, muffin, cake made out of refined flour, veg Burger , veg pizza,, pasta made out of refined flour , potato french fries....all are veg food but don't fall in to our concept of whole plant food...

Whole plant food as the name indicates least processed, least cooked, close to its original from the plant......

If consumed as above, It has tremendous helath benefits....

1. Lowers BP

2. Normalises Lipid profile....I got surprised with my lipid numbers ...perhaps I got it for the first time in my life without medication.....

3. Results in sustainable weight loss..

4.Lowers Blood Sugar....I got my fasting sugar 77-80 for the first time

5. Corrects constipation , improves bowl movement

6.. eliminates hunger pang...

7.. lowers Body inflammation , lowers hsCRP

High blood pressure is a common condition and when not treated, can cause damage to the brain, heart, blood vessels, kidneys and other parts of the body. Damage to these organs may cause heart disease, a heart attack, heart failure, stroke, kidney failure, loss of vision, and other problems. In addition to taking medication, making lifestyle changes will also help to control your blood pressure. These changes include eating a diet that is low in fat and salt, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising at least 30 minutes most days, not smoking, and using alcohol in moderation.
