Dear all,

Any new developments with LWMDR?
Please access posts by shootergeorge on this web site or send him a message.
I am using long wheat one time daily. But I have got 30 years of diabetic history. I don't think that I can reverse diabetes and stop my insulin therapy.

Did not work for me.
alwaysoptimistic ,
Long/emmer wheat works fine for me. I have managed to reduce my HbA1c from 14% to 5.9% in 2 years with regular 1 hour of exercises and long wheat.
Do you take any meds? What's your diet plan? Can you share?
Curet2D ,
I don't take any medicines.
The below is my current diet & activity plan.
Pre-breakfast:
2 spoons of soaked fenugreek, 200-250ml of A2 milk with 2 spoons of palm sugar
Walking for 1 hour(5-6 kms)
Breakfast:
Boiled peanuts with fresh onion and tomato salad stomach full
Lunch:
Usual south Indian meal with Emmer wheat grain (boiled, 70-80 grams approx.), Sambar/Rasam, vegetables, etc
Evening snack:
Roasted peanuts 50-60 grams, Mixture made of besan flour or Sev(ompodi)
Dinner:
1 or 2 small Emmer wheat chapati with usual subzis without Paneer, Potato, Moong dal, Kabuli channa, etc
What do you do on festivals or when you travel? Do you take any other grains for any cheat days?
What are your morning sugar numbers?
That is a good question Curet2D .
I do take Handpounded Ponni rice once in a week or once in a fortnight. The results are encouraging. My PPBS settles down around 100-110 mg/dL.
I prefer Urad based or chana dal based dishes like Vada more during festival days and avoid rice based dishes completely. I did try payasam (palm sugar) and it did not spike my BS much.
My FBS for last month or so (tested 5 or 7times in my glucometer) is around 90-100 mg/dL.
So moong dal /kabuli channa /paneer /potato for dinner. So you do only veggie and 1 or 2 small chapathi. Right?
Yes Curet2D . I avoid paneer, potato, kabuli channa, moong whole, etc for dinner along with Chapati. I have vegetable based subzis or tamarind based paste along with chapati. I usually have 1 or 2 small chapatis for my dinner.
Im surprised you are avoiding both lchf and hclf foods whatever that works
Curet2D , My diet is somewhat closer to Long wheat regimen of ShooterGeorge
There is no cure for diabetes. Some people reverse through LCHF, some with whole grain food, but whatever we do has to be permanent lifestyle change coupled with exercise so we avoid all complications.
What's the difference btw lchf and whole grain food? Which is better and sustainable? Which one do you follow?
Thanks a lot to all who have updated!
