I'd be interested to know where your research into the qualities of long wheat, or indeed the above, came from.
They are both carbohydrates that will raise blood sugar - the last thing a diabetic needs!
Read a lot on this forum that long wheat (Farro) cures diabetes over a period if taken mashed & cooked.
It certainly does not!
Refer me to your clinical, randomised trials. If you cannot then you are gambolling with you future health!
The ONLY way that has ever been proved to work is to cut all refined carbohydrate and make up the energy deficit with natural fats.
Have you checked your all parameters well that may have been crossing the upper limit due to high fat intake?

Param, If following LCHF diet, you can use LW(long wheat) for the 20% of carbs allowed in LCHF diet, so you benefit from both the diets. Recently, I saw a youtube video about the benefits of a drink made with LW for controlling diabetes. I feel it is also an universal topic, not to be ignored. This is my opinion, take the best of both the world.
Param.. LCHF works well for many. LW also worked very well for many of us. The choice is yours, to go for LCHF or LWMDR. I went for LWMDR because not much of calories calculation and one can eat lunch normal as usual. I don't want to deprive myself of eating...
