Tried lwmdr for 2 weeks, fbs came down from 160 to 92 -110 and ppbs from 221 to 130 - 170. But my 1 hr or 45 min ppbs always high around 220 is that ok. 27 yrs 80 kg, 5 ft 8. Diagnosed type 2 in August by Hba1c at 15.5%.

On tab metformin 500 mg 1-0-1.

Thank you atma & axeffect for suggestions. I really want to giv lwmdr a try but will Def consider lchf, if lwmdr fails.

Patliputra, I am following all restrictions and precautions, exercise associated with lwmdr,I was just worried abt high spikes in 1 hr after lwmdr. But I will continue for 3 months and will check Hba1c and will report back. Thanks for your feedback.

Also I want to reduce my metformin dosage from 1-0-1 further to 1 and later reduce to zero. For how much days I should continue my tabs before I reduce my tab to 1 and further to zero or is there any target for fbs, ppbs after which I should reduce my tab dosage? I m newbie here and your suggestions may help.

First let bs within normal limits and let it stabilise for some, before considering reducing dose of medicine, that also very gradually.

Who is 'someone'? I am still eating LW and maintaining my sugars under control with regular meals (no starving). Enough explanation has already been given on LW and its combination with other grains:

I am really enjoying my food in combination with LW. Thanks to Mr. George and medfree.

Yes, you can suggest to cut down on carbs but all carbs are not same, at least from the above posts and my personal experience so far.

swamy.

I will follow that. Thank you

Then also publish my posts and comments that I still continue to use LW and maintaining my sugar values under control. Enough war of words & debates on this topic have taken place among many of the members of this forum including medfree. To promote something you need not to discriminate other things, thats called attention seeking. Keep helping others.

I Started LW eating in April 2014. Earlier there was good effect on BS. Initially BS response was flatter one. There was hardly any difference at 1hr. and 2hr. (100-110). But since last two months the spike is around 125. So now days I don't consume it regularly. I have better options than LW. :) Which has more flatter response to BS (100-105) and other benefits. (Sprouted and cooked chana, mung, lentils etc.)

Thats fine, consume as per you comfort and convenience to control your blood sugar. Keep reporting the the food you change (even switching to other type of food other than LW and LCHF) and the results, to others' benefit.

I started LW around Nov 2013 and I am still enjoying it with great control over my sugar values.

I gradually decreased medicine to 1 tablet of METASENS-500 a day, now. I am going to take lab test now to drop that 1 tablet too, hoping that my hbA1c comes below 6. It was 12.8 initially.

Do not use flat statements like:

' LW is carbs. You have to count carbs. Carbs don't cure diabetes'.

That is really a mediocre like statement with out trying LW. Please try to post your personal experiments, technical findings etc., and then you comment.
