I am a senior citizen aged about 66 and am a diabetic since 2015 and have been regularly taking medicines to keep it in control. Normally my FBS ranges from 70 to 100, PPBS stood at 150 to 200. Pl suggest for better control of PPBS.

Thanks

Control your food intake, eat small portion of food, avoid grain food, eat steamed veg, over ground veg, fruits, avoid hidden and free sugar from food and drinks. No vadi, dosai, idli, eat chick peas, sweet potatoes and small south India grains. Take fenugreek, drink boiled cinnamon water, butter, coconut oil, sesame oil and olive oil.

What is your height, weight and waist?

take care.

Waist to height ratio should be less than 0.5 !!

"The waist-height ratio is calculated as waist measurement divided by height measurement W ÷ H . For example, a person with a 28 in (71 cm) waist and 5 ft 7 in (170 cm) height has a waist–height ratio of 0.42 ."

Along with diet as suggested by Sandy, physical exercise plays a major role.

After every meal , please do physical exercise / walking for at least 30 mnts.. .

What is your BMI and what medications are you taking ?

And what is your daily calori in take ?

Will help us to advise you accordingly

Morning and evening walk is better for diabetics or as you recommend 30 minutes after every meal. Please suggest.

Thanks.

(3) Any vegetable curry ( exclude potato and Arabi)- take 2 katori liberal quantity

(4) mix flour whole wheat Roti 1 or two piece with 1 cup Dal..

Your sugar levels are with in normal range. Do not worry. Exercise, walk and food control will keep you healthy. Latest study says less of wheat will control sugar. Rice is permitted with a half full amount. Do not take sugar in any form. One fruit per day is required.

I've been a diabetic for the last 25 years and I'm a 75 yr old. My sugar level is always within limits.

Live cheerfully.

Sir,

When you say within limits, "What are the limits you are working to on HbA1C?"

Thanks.
