Why do we always refer American diabetic Association for anything related to diabetes.Aren't there other countries, doing good job on researches on diabetes.Or,why we are not doing meaningful researches on diabetes in India, which is, incidentally, capital of diabetes, keeping in mind Indian style of living.

Hello kamtadale , I don't believe this is the case as links to IDRF (Indian Diabetic Research Foundation), Diabetes UK and Diabetes Co UK are often posted on here:
diabetes.co.uk/diabetes-pre...
We have had surveys on DI on behalf of the IDRF:
We also have links with DRWF so in my opinion what is really important is to raise awareness of preventing diabetes in India and to combine forces with other diabetic organisations.
So I'd check out the IDRF and see how you can promote their message...
Jerry,
Thanks Jerry for valuable suggestions
Just now I have gone through web site of IDRF and saw their long list of researches.I believe they should publish their researches in media more often so that more and more people can avail benefits of researches and not confined to labs/papers only .
Thank you and I think that you are right kamtadale in that we all have to help get the word out so this may interest you:

Lets see what else we can promote on here as this is your forum.
I would like to tell people at IDRF that please initiate research on plant based diabetic medicines for Indians because we have Ayurveda which says "not a single plant exist on this earth which does not have medicinal value",unlike West which depends only on chemicals with dangerous side effects.Although we do have various herbal medicines but a systematic research can make it great.
the american studies usually are based on large randomised samples and relatively more trustworthy compared to results from other countries with sanitised and compromised quality of published data, the better ones from england, europe and the least dependable being from china and russia. indian is somewhere in between
