if your hba1c is below 6 all the times, you need not have wo worry. juggle different remedies every three months, as same herbal remedies should not be taken continuously.

kamtadale ,

Please make sure you have the original cinnamon aka ceylon cinnamon not the fake cinnamon. The ceylon cinnamon tastes slightly sweet.

I have 1 teaspoon of organic grounded ceylon cinnamon powder with 1 spoon of raw honey after every meal viz. breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Sri Lankan cinnamon is soft and little sweet and is the original one. There is one more type of cinnamon available imported from China/Vietnam which is actually Kosava and is hard and dark in colour and sold in pieces in market. It is harmful to kidney and liver.Beaware of it.

Thanks for the reply. I hope you are talking about fake cinnamon not the Ceylon cinnamon. Because i take 3 tsp of Ceylon cinnamon daily. Never faced any issues with body heat.

My hba1c is 6.6. I have been taking soaked fenugreek seeds with five soaked almonds every mrning since for the last 2 years. My fasting sugar remains steadly at 102 to 106 and pp is around 132, hardly crosses 140. I take no meds, stopped sugar totally. Why hba1c not within 6? Can i try cinnamon?

I m 69, 6.4', 61 kg. Previously weight was 68 after db lost 7 kgs and Dr. told me to b careful. Stopped and limited as per Doc s arvice. Now result as shown. With Fenugreek seeds i have kept full-blown db at bay. But still improve with exercise. Gall bladder removal is another problem.

As defined in Ayurveda, I also endirse, 5he root cause of almost all diseases lies with stomach. So I advise all to please tske care of yr liver, gall bladder and intestines. To do it, avoid strong dri nks, greasy foods and sweets. If one can control the intake most diseases can be avoided, especially db and heart.

It's not yet clear if cinnamon is good for diabetes. ... Several small studies have linked cinnamon to better blood sugar levels. Some of this work shows it may curb blood sugar by lowering insulin resistance. In one study, volunteers ate from 1 to 6 grams of cinnamon for 40 days.

It may be more expensive, but Ceylon cinnamon contains more antioxidants and lower amounts of coumarin, which can potentially cause liver damage. It's probably best not to exceed 0.5–1 grams of Cassia daily, but taking up to 1.2 teaspoons (6 grams) daily of Ceylon cinnamon should be safe.

Because cinnamon is an unproven treatment, there is no established dose. Some recommend 1/2 to 1 teaspoon (2-4 grams) of powder a day. Some studies have used between 1 gram and 6 grams of cinnamon. Very high doses may be toxic.
