Hi.

I am 52 female.

Diabetic since 5 years. BS Level random 260+.

Having legs shiny, smooth. Is it due to diabetic? Having low energy level, tiresome and laziness. Backache, joints pain. Eating is less and sometimes skips meals.

Any suggestions?

LATIKABAHULKAR Ji,

You have provided too less information. Hence it is difficult to conclude anything.

1. What is your latest fasting blood sugar, HbA1c, post prandial blood sugar?

2. What is your BMI?

3. Please provide information on your daily diet.

4. Please provide information on your physical activities and nature of your work.

5. What are your current medications?

Yes it is likely due to diabetes. I will suggest you must take a vitamin supplement of B1, B6 B12 alongwith Chromium, Zinc, Selenium. You can discuss with your Doctor to suggest a good supplement with mulivitamin and multimineral which have above ingradients. Perhaps this may improve the position

Fasting blood sugar must be less than 100 mg/dL.

Postprandial blood sugar(PPBS) i.e.,2 hours after taking food must be less than 140 mg/dL.

Random blood sugar must be less than 140 mg/dL.

Undergo HbA1c test. Target level must be less than 6.5%.

You should walk for 15 minutes in the courtyard after every meal.

Check your blood sugar (FBS or PPBS) daily and avoid foods the cause high blood sugar.

Over time, people who have diabetes and high blood sugar can develop serious or life-threatening complications, including heart disease, stroke, kidney problems, nerve damage, and eye problems. Taking medication(s), making lifestyle changes (e.g., diet, exercise, quitting smoking), and regularly checking your blood sugar may help to manage your diabetes and improve your health. This therapy may also decrease your chances of having a heart attack, stroke, or other diabetes-related complications such as kidney failure, nerve damage (numb, cold legs or feet; decreased sexual ability in men and women), eye problems, including changes or loss of vision, or gum disease. Your doctor and other healthcare providers will talk to you about the best way to manage your diabetes.

Random BS is too high. Don't skip meals. Have small meals five times a day. Avoid food that is high in carbohydrates and eat green veggies.
