Know your numbers, keep a record of your blood glucose numbers, keep a food diary, every thing that goes into your mouth, no free and hidden sugar in your food and drinks.
I was told 8 years ago I was diabetic!, do not be scared, take it easy.
Life style change before medication.
Cut down all free and hidden sugar.
Get a small plate for food, eat 1/3 of your requirement and the other 1/3 with water and the last with air.
It can be difficult at first, you can manage.
Eat chick peas, soy products, a lot of green leaf veg and sweet potatoes.
No rice, no rice products, and no potatoes.
Drink boiled Sri Lankan Cinnamon water in the morning and evening.
Soak fenugreek in water, eat the fenugreek and drink the water once a day.
Use turmeric where ever you can.
After three months check you blood glucose and weight, note the difference, you may not need medication, enjoy one life. This what I have done.
Very difficult to start but you can achieve it.
