.you may have been eating more than what you should immediately the past three months
Fasting and pp blood glucose tests provide the blood glucose levels at the the time blood was drawn.
HbA1c reflects average blood glucose level in the previous three months counting back from the day blood sample was taken.
It means currently your blood sugar control has improved. This is assuming all your readings are accurate.
In order to compare HbA1c with glucometer readings at home, you have to take several readings over a period of 2 - 3 months and calculate the average.
Fasting and PP numbers were done at the lab or home?
Measure postprandial blood sugar after your heaviest meal of the day. Typically lunch for most. That could give a more clear picture.
I ALSO GOT THE SIMILAR RESULTS FASTING 100 AND 2 HOURS AFTER BREAKFAST IT IS 117. BUT HBA1C IS 8.9. I AM TAKING INSULIN MORNING AND NIGHT. AFTER SEEING THE RESULTS THE DOCTOR ADVISE ME HAVE A BLOOD TEST AFTER LUNCH. SO THE RESULTS ARE HIGH AROUND 200 TWO HOURS AFTER LUNCH.
NOW DOCTOR ADVISED ME TAKE 10 UNITS OF ACTRARAPID BEFORE LUNCH. NOW MY READING IS 135 TWO HOURS AFTER LUNCH. KINDLY CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR IF IT WORKS FOR YOU
One-hour spike could be the reason. High carb content in your food could be causing a spike and 2-hrs level might be normal because of medicines. If I was you I would count my carbs very strigently.
