HAVE BEEN ON JANUMET 50/1000 TWICE DAILY HBAIC 6.1 FASTING S 109 HEIGHT 5FT 9 INCH SHOULD JANUMET BE CHANGED?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH WALKING FOR 45 MINS DAILY AND 3 TOASTS FOR BREAKFAST,2 ROTI FOR LUNCH AND DINNER EACH HOW MUCH FURTHER CAN I REDUCE CARBS PLEASE?

As Hidden has said, you need to ask your doctor before you change your medication dose, diet and/or exercise. Please request an appointment to see your doctor this coming week to discuss making changes to be on the safe side, first.

Can you cut the 2 rotis in half and save one half from each for other meals? Eating one whole roti or even two is too many carbs.. Save the halves and eat them later. Also, have one slice of bread/toast for breakfast. Each slice of bread has 15 grams of carbs.. Are you carb. counting? Does your doctor have you counting your carbs. for each meal and snack? Did the doctor tell you how many carbs. you are allowed for each meal and snack?

Better talk to your doctor for changing medication. But why change anything when you are doing so well? Your weight reduction is very significant.

For changing medicine only Doctor can tell but to reduce carbs you can change composition of your breakfast, Instead of 3 toasts you can take a 2 egg omelet,if eggs are OK with you or can alternately take boiled grams or any other snack having less carbs and low glycemic index.The chapatis may be of 50% whole wheat and 50% whole gram flour or of multigrain flour.
