Obimet 500 SR problem

Recently I found that Obimet 500 season is excreted out without getting absorbed/dissolved in th body and as such the blood sugar levels remain high.

Written to Abbott’s but no reaction at all

In order to maintain your sugar levels else change immediately

All oral diabetic drugs if taken for long time say two years do not act as body nutalises it as foreign to immunity and nutralises it as foreign material.consult your doctor and change the drug

khaitan It's problem with the formulation. The company must respond.Change the brand.

I had serious side effects with Metformin SR. I had stomach pain, acidity with SR formulations, though it is recommended by many doctors as once daily dosage. Very poor science and poor study has concluded that metformin SR is better than metformin standard. SR is sustained release i.e there are aynthetic coatings given over the tablet to slow down the dissolving process.

Please consult your doctor and switch over from SR to standard dose
