Different types of Rice

Hi my friends. There is no such thing as diabetic rice.

Brown rice is best, the fiber is stripped from the brown rice so we end up with the white.

Remember that food is our medicine and there are instructions about the health benefits of using food in it's natural state.

Brown rice is a highly nutritious grain. It is good for the heart, aids digestion and may reduce the risk of cancer, diabetes and high cholesterol. Rice is a food staple and primary crop grown all over the world.

I read somewhere that in ayurveda brown rice is not as sattvic as white/polished rice. Also, both brown and white did not perform as well as parboiled rice, in research. I prefer to eat basmati parboiled rice. The so -called "diabetic rice" (like "insulin plant" for Costus igneus) is someone's slangy expression for 'low-glycemic rice'
