According to the new relaxed hba1c for type 2 diabetes, it is 7-8. I read this article on 20th March 2018. This claim though is rejected by Indian doctors. Please share your views on the subject!

Hi Aditya17 ,

What did your doctor say your A1c results were suppose to be at the last appointment? Did he/she want you to lower the total or is everything the way they want it?

Thanks for your concern. My doctor is very happy with my hba1c and so am I . The thing I mention is that according to the Americans the new range for type 2 need not be 6-7 it should be 7-8. You can also read the article published in the times of India on the 20th. Even though Indian doctors are saying at this relaxed level damage starts to the body. Your views?
