when i used to take milk it always caused my sugar to rise.So i stopped taking it.but when i ate paneer last night it didn't cause any hike in sugar.I thought i am intolerant to casein. But both milk and paneer contain casein so whats the difference between the two?

Paneer has negligible carbohydrate, only 1 gm per 100 gm. If you consume 250 ml milk it will have 13 gm carbohydrate. Low fat milk will have even more carb. And they are all sugar. It is the carb that gives max spike in blood sugar. Paneer has protein and fat and very good for diabetics as it gives very low rise in blood sugar.
