Hello, thanks for your reply. Though my query was for jamun powder. As we reduced an eveninh dosage of istamet for my mother and fasting sugar is up by 50 points. So till the time paneer doda brings it down- was checking if she can take jamun powder in evening?

Dear Hidden as far as I know...Jamun (Syzygium cumini) Inhibits Alpha-Glucosidases same like acarbose.

you may go thru this...

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/183...

Kindly help please. Should jamun powder be taken before or after meals?

cure profile image
cureAdministrator in reply tonehamait

To me....Jamun seed powder should be taken before each meal...as it will slow down absorption of carbohydrates...

jamun has nothing to do with insulin activity...

I think only paneer doda should be sufficient to control your sugar levels if you are taking in proper way. Anyway if you want to have jamun seed powder you can as it is natural. I have used paneer doda and found it very effective.

Please provide case study results. Reference is fine but before claiming paneer doda or jamun powder panacea, post the reports of the t2d patients claming cure. I don't agree to the claim that PD and jamun powder are miraculous agents.

"Paneer doda not only utilize the blood glucose it also repaiir the Beta Cells of Pancreas to provide Insulin to the body."

In t2d beta cells already produce high amount of insulin. It's a hyperinsulinemic state. I doubt if repairing ?? beta cells can overcome IR.

Hi, I am an end user and I used this and found very effective. A friend of mine just suggested me and I started taking it. I am not aware of any research material and do not bother for that, but it's work that's I know because I am using it. If you want to try use it 15 to 20 days and check the result.

👍👍👍.

I don't think we are disputing the efficacy of PD. We are debating the mode of action and refuting the claim that it can regenerate beta cells. If it can regenerate beta cells the people will become drug free without any dietary management.

And you should know how it works. Or you may damage your beta cells further. That's what we are debating.

Look what he says at the end of link you provided...

Diet Management is common as all diabetic patients.

Firstly you try 5 Paneer ke Fool (Withania Coagulans) and see the action on the individual patient then you can increase upto 10-15 or decrease.

But not give daily, in my opinion, only 3 to 5 days in a month regularly then stop it (Paneer ke Fool). Then start at next month....

possibly because it increases serum insulin level... read here....

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

with different doses of aqueous W. coagulans resulted in significantly decreased FPG, PPPG, and HbA1c (P<.01), whereas serum insulin increased significantly compared with that in diabetic-untreated rats (P<.01).

Anything which squeeze out insulin out of your already tired beta cells is potentially harmful for you in long run....

What is your opinion exactly ? One should use PD or not ? I don't think this concept of curing D, which is the topic of debate at present, with drugs is right. And i say this to my endo colleagues flatly.

I repeat myself saying D is cured 90% by IDM. Exercise And Drugs can support for the rest 5%

Bhai suramo all researches show that Paneer doda is working as sulfonylurea ....

I don't think it is advisable to use such drug to treat D...

further... although I advocate herbs... still I know that herbs are not standardized... and therefore if at all we want some action like sulfonylurea... then why not go for Diamicron where we know the potency for sure....

Jamun seeds ..yes... no harm.... we can take.... but paneer doda is no no... it is squeezing your beta cells...

I know that PD acts like SU drugs. But someone on this forum claimed that a 17 year boy was benefited by PD. 17 year old should have type 1 D - lack/ absence of insulin. How can PD have any effect on him ?

Does it also cause beta cell repair as claimed ? How ? Can it reduce IR ? And if our "desi " medicines are so effective why do we need allopathy medicines ?

Jamun, vinegar etc are said to hamper carb absorption but i have not found them useful. I have taken jamun vinegar and acv but are of not much help to me.

Hmmm suramo I really don't know the reason...why it is helping and why not...

I use jamun vinegar.... I do agree that there is not much difference in BS after if jamun vinegar and with Jamun Vinegar... but guss seed powder is different...let me experiement with the same.... will let u know...

But I don't think it will help for Type1

and further... for type one its problem of antibodies... not beta cells malfunction...or IR..

Now do they also claim that it will solve issues with antibodies??

Please try jamun powder and tell us all what happens with your bs. May be ask someone else whose bs is not under control also because your readings are pretty well.
