High creatinine level may lead to kidney problems in the long run. What yo need is expert counseling from a good dietician.Your creatinine level is certainly not acceptable.
I am sorry to say that it indicates start of kidney damage. You should immediately consult a nephrologist and get a proper advice.
Sir, i met a nephrologist and he suggested me to take care that creatinine does not go beyond present value of 3 and at this stage it can not be reversed or make it less than 3.. scanning report indicates that my kidneys are good in shape.. please give me more light on this aspect..
you need to learn about foods acceptable by kidney patients. My brother in law is having 5 plus creatinine and finding it difficult to manage. Till now he has not gone for dialysis. You need to take it very seriously and work on that. In the last six months they spent lot of money and time. last week he went to Karnataka and brought some powder from some one referred in BBC news. If any drastic improvement sure will post those details
Creatinine levels may increase when an ACE inhibitor (ACEI) or angiotensin II receptor antagonist (or angiotensin receptor blocker, ARB) is taken. Using both ACEI and ARB concomitantly will increase creatinine levels to a greater degree than either of the two drugs would individually. An increase not exceeding 30% is to be expected with ACEI or ARB use.
High blood pressure can damage blood vessels in the kidneys, reducing their ability to work properly. ... Eventually, this stretching scars and weakens blood vessels throughout the body, including those in the kidneys. High blood pressure is the second leading cause of kidney failure in the United States after diabetes.
Consult a Nephrologist as suggested by Mr.Patliputra.
