Wound on leg

Hi My father is suffering from Diabetic since 5-6 years. He has recently got wound on his leg. It was increasing day by day. Recently i consulted Jayadev hospital bangalore they said we need to remove the wound otherwise it will spread entire leg. Is their any other suggestion other than removing wounded finger in the leg...?

Gangrene must have set in.Chances of cure are reportedly better if the affected part is kept in an oxygen rich environment.This treatment is not available in Bangalore.MV Center for Diabetes in Chennai reportedly has the facility.They have a branch in Koramangala on Sarjapur road. I got wound in leg last year. I used home made galo kawath. Also zinc and vitamin c supplements along with antibiotics. Take advice of ayurvedic doctor. Also in long term galo may increase platelet level more. So essential to monitor it. Galo control diabetes and heals wound. I also found zinc and vitamin c very useful in healing. Do it with advice of your doctor.
