It is not clear to me whether you REALLY walk on sponge or JUST feel that way? (I have had issues with shoe and sock combinations since childhood and that has little to do with diabetes. Presently things are great with thick sports socks and a Fila jogger I picked up in US, far better than all the Nike I have used todate). efar52@gmail.com
Wrongan: I do not think there is a specific description for spongy palm of the foot (thickened skin, swollen side skin or just sore whiteness) but probably has to do with moisture and may have a genetic cause. Best person to consult is a skin specialist and if that does not work another specialist. May be family doctor should be the first contact of referral. What do you say?
First checkup ur diabetic level. It is common for all diabetics. It may be diabetic neuropathy. Consult ur doctor and he may give some curative treatment
I think its diabetic neuropathy, kindly get it checked up, due to diabetes blood gets thickened and blocks the nerves, due to which the sensation may be less or lost. I think you should use the accupressure shoes and try massaging with oil.
