Low carb cauliflower rice- I saw a link in which rice is prepared out of shredded Cauliflower by first boiling it, and frying it in a coconut oil or butter and eating with any Curry.. Really a low carb rice!

What is Punjabi shaak, Hidden ?
Oh! Sounds good. Thank you for the explanation and example, Hidden . I might have to go and look for that in a store nearby.
Grated cooked cauliflower forms 25% of the broken wheat meal I eat both for lunch and dinner. I stopp0ed eating rice for lunch or dinner for years now.
My blood sugar levels are within normal limits.
Don't take raw rice its GI is 86 have parboiled rice and after cooking take out water its GI is only 38 and the rice is much cheaper that the above one. I have done a lot of experiment on me and the sugar are under control as long you have only 100 gms of cooked rice.
REMOVING WATER DURING RICE COOKING,..REDUCES CARBS....
@ ganaraja. ... You are right ..Another thing... The rice cooked in rice cooker has more carbs. If one cook rice, in a normal pot,and when it is half cooked, one removes the entire water mixed with carbish froth,by sieving the contents, many of the carbs are removed.. The left over half cooked rice should be further properly cooked by adding fresh water ,and then eaten. Thus by removing carbs while cooking, you can achieve something. I take this rice, whenever i do,and sugar spike is low.
I dont have figures of carbs in rice, cooked this way. Those knowledgable may post.
