No insult meant towards you sir but you seem to be a rich person who can afford to have such a menu and chew nuts during the day, have paneer and cheese in all meals and consume bulletproof coffee, green tea, coconut oil, ghee, butter, stevia drops.

Diabetes is known to mostly effect middle and lower income families but the diet required to control/treat diabetes is of high and very high income families, how ironic is that.

Sadly yes

But if we don't spend now the disease will progress .

Dr will rx costly patented dpp4 or Insulins

This will cost around 30 to 50 Rs per day

I am sure the same can be spent in fats

Peanuts are cheaper

Gram flour or besan is cheaper

1, 2 or 3 teaspoon of ghee has to be taken

If not then fat soluble vitamins deficiency will happen and costly pill to be taken

If anyone can take eggs then it's very cheap at Rs 5 per egg

Instead these pts will buy "junk oats" which are being pushed

No need of taking costly nuts

Ramdev baba offers cow ghee at a cheaper rate

Instead of coconut oil can use coconut milk made at home with a Few coconuts

We have to think of ways and means to make things cheaper instead of complaining

For our own long term health

Money spent on fruits can be spent on fats

We Indians are known for "jugaads" where we convert global ideas to local ones

So let's not reject an idea instead adopt and adapt locally

very true sir, but as I said before "no insult meant to you in any way" all I am saying is how ironic it is that if one could do or have all this in their lives then they would not have gotten diabetes in the first place.

We are struck with :

Genetic predisposition towards metabolic disease

Shift of dietary pattern from home made foods to packaged foods

Fear of good fats like butter and ghee but instead take junk like samosa, vada pav or burgers

More and more having sugary junk called cola
