How to improve resistance power in aged people

Hi,

My aunt is 60yr old, she is having very poor resistance power, and she is affected very easily when season changes, like right now we are entering rainy season.

Please suggest the sollution,

As we grow older, immunity against diseases is lowered. This is especially true as far as Type 2 diabetes is concerned.

Your aunt's health may be maintained by healthy diet including a lot of fruits and vegetables, and adequate exercise such as yoga, or walking long distances. During winter, she may be asked to walk within the rooms.

She may be asked to consume fish curry rich in omega 3 fatty acid. Otherwise she may be given shark/cod liver oil in capsule form. Oil and non-essential fatty acids should be avoided.

Pneumococcal vaccine can help protect you from serious infections due to the pneumococcal bacteria. These infections include:

* In the blood (bacteremia)

* Of the covering of the brain (meningitis)

* In the lungs (pneumonia)

I too have been taking ginger tea regularly - with lots of ginger in it - since 20 years. It seems to help with my arthritis, also with preventing asthma attacks.

You can go for ayurveda for resistance. 'Maadi phala rasayan' is most powerful for resistance
