Please let me know if Organic Soy Milk is good for diabetes 2? Normally, I don't drink or eat dairy products, but sometimes I eat kalakand burfi and ras malai. Thanks in advance for your help.

Sugar to be avoided strictly.

Use stevia drops if needed.

Reg soy milk; Soy to be taken only in fermented form and should be non gmo

Unfermented soy causes disturbance specially the thyroids

Soya milk is not a dairy product.

Well shashi would you please elaborate on fermentation of soya and which forms can be made out of the fermentation of soya.

Look at the protein content of soy and other legumes. While all the legumes contain carbohydrate about 2.5-3 times protein, the soy contain more protein than carbs. So for a vegetarians like me the soy can be very rich source of protein. It also contain phytoestrogen which can constitute a great source of estrogen in menopausal women. So rather than outrightly rejecting soy and now when we know that the fermentation can remove many of the vices of soy we can use it liberally. Hypes we can overlook.

Maybe try tofu from non gmo verified source. Tofu is fermented. Available in godrej nature basket

Yes. We have to look specifically for fermented tofu. Every thing is so complicated. There is always if and buts and then there are drug companies and other vested interests. In india there is problem of getting right products as promised on the wrappers.🐒🐒🐒🐒.

Why aren't gmo foods banned all over the world when they are so harmful 🐒🐒🐒

No. Not comparing but worried that such babies do not turn out like gm foods 😜🐒.

Ada made a mistake or crime, we don't want to discuss that but now with internet and social medias everyone will have to accept the truth. They have accepted the truth about cholesterol that it's not responsible for cv accidents.

A few days back i'd an interaction with very young endo at a cme.. When i talked about lchf and that i lost 10 kg weight he responded that it's mediterranean diet. So he knew it but when i said vco is the best oil he said lots of sfa. I sent him my reports and the article about cholesterol. I'm waiting to meet him again. He practises in my area. Let's see what he has to say. I have told him to try lchf on just 5 of his patients and come up with the conclusions. Also asked him to participate on hu and dlife. Let's see.

But now my colleagues are listening to me intently. I also post my views in my medical associations watsap groups. They appreciate. They now have trust and take interest when they see that i have lost weight and waist.

By comparison I just meant that things can go wrong. Also in GMO animal origin gene is inserted in plant gene. I am sure that in genetic modifications in humans we don't insert plant genes. Just this difference i meant.

I don't know which genes might be used. May be some microorganism or through some microorganism. It's yet not possible to procure the desired gene from a human genome. And perhaps microorganisms would be needed to transfer it / them in the gm children..

suramo Hidden I think if we totally ban GMO food then there will severe food shortage all over the world.... I don't think we will be able to feed this large population with non GMO grains...

@Anup

I don't know if you are supporting the theory that soy causes breast cancer. But soy contains phytoestrogens / isoflavonoides. Phyto = plant. This has structural similarities to the natural human estrogens. Estrogen act by occupying receptors on cell membranes and stimulating them starting a cascades of events. These PE are called SERM =selective estrogen receptors modulators. They occupy the same receptors as natural estrogen but are very weak in their action. So the effect of their attachment would elicit very weak estrogenic effects. So in the presence of natural estrogen they act as estrogen antagonists but in the absence of estrogen they have weak estrogenic actions. E is very useful in preventing osteoporosis, protecting against chd and keeping the endothelium of certain organs like urinary bladder healthy preventing infections.

I don't think PE could cause any cancer but since E is said to be carcinogenic and PE being structurally similar might be thought to be causing cancer. Tamoxifen used for breast cancer treatment has its therapeutic effect due to the structural similarities to E.
