I think P15 in ur medicine stands for Pioglitazine and it retains water in the body.It is not prescribed in foreign countries but u know in India. The doctor is the final authority in this matter.
Pioglitazone is still prescribed in india. The government put a ban on it for trivial reasons- someone citing its harmful effects. Not sure if pio causes edema and increases the incidence of cvd chd. These complications are inherent to D itself. I'm myself allergic to sulpha can't take SU or Acarbose group of drugs. Also pio doesn't whip P. I'm taking pio.
