Is growing aging ?
What is aging ?: Is growing aging ? - Diabetes India
What is aging ?
Aging is wearing out of the cells . Some people may have high energy levels mentally and physically. But that does not mean that their cells have not worn out .It is the rule of nature to get aged. Sheer will power , love of life , a strong mission in life make some people very active who experience and appear to be younger than their age.
mitochondrial damage? That way growing can be taken as aging.
What is the difference between growing and aging?
While growing, there is no net loss of function related to the existing functioning cells, while in aging, there is some loss of function related to the loss of memory cells in the brain in variable degree, partly genetically inherited
in simple plain expression growing is regeneration , aging is degeneration.
When a person reaches top of the gowning, stability, aging, decaying of body starts.
They say everything is uncertain in life except death.
The process of growing old is aging. It ncludes all the phases of life.
What is the difference between normal aging and aging due to disease .
yes....Shri Krishna said in Bhagwatgeeta... Chapter 2 verse 27
So this is cycle....birth...death..and again birth....
Moksha..... the escape from this cycle is ultimate goal of Indian spirituality
Welcome back.
Death is a certainty,but rebirth ??

Shri Krishna said in Bhagwatgeeta... Chapter 2 verse 27
Hmmm let us ask him this question.....
May be few will ask him for proof.....
LOL
rebirth is also certain .soul goes from one birth to another to repay the debts . once the repayment is fully done the two souls bound by karmic ties get separated .Transmigration of soul in search of karmic debts is the cause of janma and karma. The minute the soul realises this truth there is no birth .That's why our scriptures say to surrender the results of our actions to Parameshwara ,
Whatever we do in words or thoughts or deeds would come back to us . That is law of karma . USUALLY THE WORD KARMA IS USED IN A SENSE of misfortune .But karma means action .We owe something to others and they are karmic debts . WE HAVE SOME dues from others and they are karmic credits .in the process of repayment we get in to fresh karma . Again we take birth to repay that debt .Thus life is an eternal and never ending journey . But when we realise the truth we have to surrender all the fruits of our actions to the sarvantharyami .Then we get relief from all the debts and there would not be a birth .

Newton's Third Law of Motion
Newton’s third law of motion tells us that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. In physics, this means that when an object collides with a target, there is an equal force going into and away from the target at the same time. The law of Karma generalizes this rule to all areas of life, beyond just physical motion.
When a person exerts a force on another part of life, that force will go into its intended target, but it will also return back to the person. We experience the truth of this whenever we give someone else an encouraging word or a helping hand. We send out a force of compassion towards them by what we say and do and instantly we feel that same compassion in ourselves in the form of a good feeling.
When we send out positive energy to others, we cannot avoid the inevitable return of that good energy back onto ourselves. Sometimes it comes back right away, and other times it may take a while, but it will always circle back, and that is the simple and inevitable law of Karma.
Mere sathkarma does not give release from samsara. Each and every action has a result and we have to suffer the results of bad karmas and good karmas in the form of punishments and rewards . Only when the results are surrendered unconditionally to the vishwantharyami we get away from the janma , karma cycle .No body escapes from this law , not even Gods . Gods are divine beings who attained that status from anantha punya karmas . But they are also Subject to the law of karma .ANTHARYAMI , THE COSMIC ENERGY IS THE ONLY SUPREME POWER has got control over the infinite universe. No amount of bribing , praising , begging , cajoling crying would interfere with that cosmic rule.Utmost and sincere repentance could give clemancy.
''purakritha prarabdam adhi vyadhi rupena peeditham'' This ruling clearly speaks out the actual cause of sorrows , miseries , griefs and diseases. That way diabetes is a karmic disease which is the punishment given for certain misdeed. In all probability the sufferer might have deprived food to a hungry soul in one of the distant past births .
Just because we don't believe certain truths do not change.
If destiny is fixed, then why the cycle of life and death ?
Destiny is fixed as far as previous deeds are concerned .When we plant a neem tree we can't expect mango fruits from that .Knowing that everything has cause and effect we should refrain from doing bad and sinful things .THAT WAY WE CAN STOP BAD KARMA.
Cycle of birth and death is not fixed . When the seeds of karma get burnt there is no rebirth .All siddha yogis are free from this cycle. If and when they want to take birth for some righteous purpose & to help the humanity they take birth . Thus it is a free choice to them .
purva janma krutham papam vyadhi repena peedyate!
The results of previous deeds (karma) will manifest into diseases.
As MikePollard says...stop doing what you were doing and you won't get what you got(diabetes )
exactly . But his reference is to something else .
PURVAJANMA KRITHAM PAPAM ADHI ,VYADHI RUPENA PEEDITHAM .Thus not only diseases but also sorrows , miseries ,unfortunate events , everything is the culmination of sinful deeds .
feeling like Zakir naik....for twisted interpretation.....
LOL
How ever sanskrit word peeda applies to everything .....
yes .
twisted interpretation . But that's what I was taught .
Hidden does peeda word includes disease?? or pain by the same???
you have forgotten to add the word , Adhi along with vyadhi . ADHI means mental problem , vyadhi is of course physical disease. So '' purakritha prarabdam adhi , vyadhi rupena peeditham '' means past karmic results get reflected in the sorrows ,miseries and diseases. This is only an explanation to make the point clear and nothing else .Peeda of course is intense trouble and as far as my knowledge goes , it is different from disease. In Hanuman Chalisa , Thulasidas has specifically given the verse ''Bhutha pretha pisacha nikata nahi avai ,nasai roga hathai sub peeda ''. So I have taken the meaning that they two are different.I am from south and my knowledge of hindi is very minimal . By the way I would like to ask a question if it is not misunderstood or mis interpreted. That is ------ as to why you jump to Hindi and Marathi very often knowing fully well that this forum has international membership ,where much of the info could not be understood if given in Hindi or Marathi . I hope this query would not be branded as irrelevant to the matter of the forum .

I am Marathi Manus.....so many times I remember appropriate quote from Marathi....but next time I will give english translation as well.Thanx for mentioning.
Who we are to decide what is good or what is bad. What is sukarma a or what is dushkarma. If one brings harm to other,is wrong doer doing dushkarma? May wronged was being punished for his own dushkarma. It was his destiny.so how can it be said wrong doer is dushkarmi.
Compassion is treating others , the way we want to be treated. That is the deciding factor in any karma, whether good karma or bad karma .Doing pujas , homas , pilgrimages ,taking ritual baths is not exactly punya karma . It contributes to chittha shuddhi. Reaching out to others in times of need with out expecting any thing in return is sathkarma .
Exactly . But what I want to impress upon is simple ,pure logic , not going in to high level of spiritual or philosophical rules .It is not dry vedantha.
Ranjit, a good essay.
I wrote Raoji , computer made it renjit. Sorry for that.
