Hello, I'm new here...

I am 15 years old and I think I have diabetes. My Hba1c has come up to 7.1 and it is hereditary. I am not eating any medicines up till now.

Looking for help please....

Do I really have diabetes and can I cure it?

Hello, sorry to read that you are worried about the possibility of diabetes. Of course it is serious, and you do need to seek your doctor's help. That's the first thing. If you have type 1 then it needs special care. There are many sites that can support and guide you while you seek further knowledge. Have a browse through them. You will find lots of friends. Personally, as a type 2, I don't have much information or experience of type 1, so I hesitate to give advice. For myself, I have found a certain type of diet has helped a lot. I'm not sure if it would help you, but go to the LCHF Diabetes forum, it has been set up specially for followers of this diet, and might be worth a look. Good luck, JanR
