At what sugar level a diabetic patient needs medicine.

I am 57 years old and has been found positive : Empty stomach-112 and PP-190 yet to take any medicine so far. Now my anxiety is whether I should start medicine right now. Blood test is being done regularly after 3 months interval and reading is more or less same. I am very active and walk at least two kms everyday. I follow limited carb. intake. Kindly advice

You have some good suggestions to control your blood sugar. When I was diagnosed diabetic in 2006, I followed a different route. What the lab reports after 2009 show is that I am not diabetic any more.

Reduce your carb in any form to less than 100 gms cooked per day, eat 5 to 6 times a day, go walking atleast for 30 mts. Your fbs is not bad as regards your PP just reduce what you eat in breakfast and see the results. Dont eat sweet in any form may be fruit also. The most important is to have a stress free life and be happy all the time with a positive attitude.

This routine is sufficient for a few years.
