Thanks.  Very good information.

Interesting historical perspective. Thanks for the pdf. The metformin we now have is a synthetic derivative and not of natural origin. Yes, guanidine is toxic and the weed which contains it, which can be ordered online in dried form, should not be used to make tea for ingestion. It will damage the liver.

Metformin had caused hypoglycaemia  sometimes. Was it due to overdose?
