Thank you sir for your kind response. 'Suji' is understood and available in the local market, but 'ghav' is still uncleared to me. Pl. clarify if possible. Thanking you once again.
Hi Mr ranamahadeb,
Yesterday itself I arranged a local friend of mine who is living in the same town where the Bengali friend is put up, to search & locate a shop in which Long Wheat is sold. He gave me the result today by noon over phone. Immediately I went & met the Bengali friend, together went to the shop & purchased 250 gm for sample. He said it is most likely JOB written as YOB. Then we both went to his house & confirmed it with his wife. She told that it is used during some pooja days to prepare special diet with rice & banana and each person will eat three balls (lemon sized) of it.
Hope this will clarify things. Once you recognise & buy, if you get any other name for it - either in other parts of Bengal or in other States/Languages - please be kind enough to pass it on to me so that I can add it to my article, with your name attached as you have seen there, for the benefit of suffering Diabetic people of our society.
