It depends on how you want to manage your diabetes.I am a good example of managing diabetes with LW successfully.If you want to try LCHF,it is your choice.
Long wheat can be a part of LCHF Control carbs to 100gms per day including Long wheat.
As per forum & experienced persons output : Both foods are good and obviously choice is yours but as per my personnel experience, prefer Long Wheat because it controlled BS levels with a hope of cure & give more freedom to eat (not more think about , what to eat, carbs counting and all).

Just want to understand, with 2 out of 3 meals of LWMDR, In what way LWMDR give more freedom to eat ? Also, apart from the 2 LWMDR meals , not much is mentioned on exactly what to eat and what not to eat during lunch or in the interim . For that matter LCHF seems to have more clarity on exactly what to eat and what not to eat through out the day !
I am not agreed if we talk about freedom and choice. Any LCHF USER can eat sweets and ice cream regularly seven or more days with out hike in B'S LEVELS? But in case of LWMDR you can...I already did this. And now these days...last 15 days due to some workload and off site duties I am not able to eat long wheat as per routine but my B'S lèvels are in range. And in each diet I ate 4 to 5 normal wheat chapatis and all types of veggies. And this freedom in eating are much sufficient I think.

LWMDR do not say that you can not have low carb food in between Breakfast and Dinner ! Does it ?
How can one have a combo of both ? And will it help ?
