  • Try to take ur medicine before meal instead of after meal. But still take advice from ur doctor before doing so, b'coz I am not a doctor.

  • Please switch to LCHF diet. For details visit forums.dlife./threads.

  • Sir, URL has a typo. I am posting the correct one

  • dear vanamaly ,

metformin is to be taken with food is the standard advice.

it may be that your pre food level of 127 is managed by melmet=metformin 500.

but the rise to 328 shows that you may require a sulphonylurea drug as well.like glimepiride. consult doctor.

nothing to worry as the pre food levels are already managed.

by the way are you taking normal amounts of food or eating more than what your body requires?

    how to know this?

    you were here last year.

i remember you having arthritis and at that time i had pointed out that you must reduce weight to near 60 kg. if arthritis and overweight can be managed , then ,

probably medicines also can be reduced.

    good luck

  • Ur hba1c is gud, before food tk tabs nd control ur sugar levels vit in 160mgs. Consult a gud diabetologist r endocrinologist

  • dear vanamaly,

if you can sit down to learn together with one more person,

it will be interesting to study the following article

"These exercises are the most useful treatment

for most inner ear balance problems and should be

performed every day. Occasionally people find that the

exercises make them feel too dizzy. If this happens you

must tell your doctor or physiotherapist so that your exercise

    programme can be adjusted.

Continuing to take medicines for balance."

    for sugar contrl please

    follow the doctors advice.

    it will be ok.

    take balanced and limited food.

    good luck

  • So you just have 4 idlis and 1 chapati + curry + 1 glass milk in full day?

Can you give a full day's diet including everything that you eat from morning till you go to bed?

Many have suggested -- Switch to LCHF diet. It works and that's why 150+ had switched till August 2014 and number has grown to 400+ Drugs come down, sugar levels come down and LIPIDS get better on LCHF.

If you follow doctors diet, your drugs will keep on increasing. High Carb Low Fat diet is not a balanced food for a diabetic. It is most UNHEALTHY diet for a diabetic but healthy for drug sales.

  • Here is a sample meal plan:

3 oatcakes or quinoa (90g cooked weight).

1 medium sweet potato or 1 cob sweetcorn or chickpeas (100g cooked weight).

non-starchy roast vegetables or stir-fry greens

palm-size meat or fish or seafood or poultry or game

    whipped double-cream and/or coconut.

Adjust unspecified portion sizes to facilitate individual weight-management requirements.
