I detected with diabetes 1½years ago.I was taking teneligliptin 20 after lunch and glycinorm m60OD twice daily.I stopped taking medicine 2mnths ago as I maintained my fasting&pp sugar under 120&180 through Exercise.But 2weeks ago I ate some sugary food and fruit juice and since then my problem has worsened.Now my fasting sugar remains between 160-220 and pp 350+.I do exercise 1½hr everyday and also taking ayurvedic herbs like paneerphool,methidana, turmeric,cinnamon and others but not helping anymore.i eat 2½ chapatis (besan mixed)and 1vegetable along with 1onion,1tomato,1cucumber,3carrots,¼medium size papaya for lunch and for dinner the same except 1big bajra roti instead of chapatis.for breakfast I eat a bowl of porridge and sometimes 3eggs.what should I do?

Have you talked about the issue with your doctor?
Yes.He just increases the doses.I want to keep sugar in normal range by doing exercise.Suggest any ayurvedic medicine if you know.I fear from side effects of allopathic medicines.
have you heard of HbA1C.
It's not safe to stop all medicines the way you have. Medicines have to be tapered as the sugar levels starts dropping, and lifestyle changes are maintained. Check you HbA1c and see a diabetologist/dr to restart your medicines.
Diet and exercise has to be addressed separately, in addition to medicines.
I think your carbohydrate intake is way too high and that's the reason you're not able to control your sugar levels. Start by eliminating all fruits, grains from your diet. Rather than one long session of exercise try having multiple sessions of short duration. Good luck!

Exactly. Too much carbs. Also papaiya should be avoided. Carrots and tomatoes in moderation and not all together.
Vinn and suramo I totally agree your levels of fruits and grins ar much to high and having them at the same meals. Some maybe had but as suramo mentioned in moderation. You need to get your A1C checked follow the diet which I believe for a diabetic is best Keto. You can eat like this around family, but exercise and research the diet and food items and meals. Watch the carb's! Load up on the fat!

The goal is LESS INTAKE of carbohydrates will definitely show some changes.

The answer is "I eat more of Peanuts, Walnuts, Pecan nuts all in restricted quantity" to ensure that the total BS level remain in allowable measure.
Also, I take some broken wheat steamed with pulses, spinach / greens, butter, cheese all in a controlled manner.
I drink more water. Do some Praanayamas in morning and evenings.
Walk whenever I can. I am not a strict guy.
I try to be, but some times I questions myself.....'Come on,,,, why should I be so strict ?? etc etc". You see what I mean I guess.

Also, one Ayurvedic pill I am used to is Madhunaashini Vati (Pathanjeli).

It is good to come off medication but not the way you did. You have to remember Diabetes is not curable( at least for now) and therefore you can not go back to old style of eating and at the same time not taking the medicine also.
Yes, you can control the diabetes by diet, exercise and with/without medicine depending on individual's conditions. Try to follow low carb healthy fat diet as suggested by several members.

Not true, that egg is only non carb/low carb thing. I'm a pure vegetarian and things one can take are greens, veggies like cauliflowers, broccoli, cabbage, cucumbers, capsicum, okras. Avoid underground veggies, and green peas. Stop taking fruits and grains. You can use kala chana atta for rolling out chapattis. And sustitute carbs with healthy fats like that from nuts, ghee, butter, cheese etc. And you can safely eat paneer. Just google. The other day I tried tomato-dhania shorba (a clear soup made Indian way) and had it with paneer tikka n mint chutney. My pp was 106. So many people are getting benifitted by LCHF diet ideas. And its not difficult to follow at all. Try. Good luck!
Oh I just noticed you're a vegan. So off dairy too?? Ok you can substitute paneer with tofu.
I know it is rather difficult to plan LCHF for vegan and vegetarians but still you can do. Include Flax seeds, Chia seeds and fresh coconut in your diets. They are all plant based. You can do some compromise like mixing ground flax seeds with whole flour to make your Roti/chapati. You can add dessicated coconut in your vegetable curries.
I am not a doctor or dietician but from my own experience one has to substantially reduce carbs such as chappati besan roti etc as these cause sugar spike ..
The link is you need to change your diet and excercise. As Preveen mentioned being a diabetic is not curable at this moment. We can learn to live healthy with it through our diets. Keto and the LCHF. Get educated do your reseach find some wonderful cook books on line through Amazon, or in town. Pin on lin for recipes has many and I know it's open in your country. You'll be amazed at the number of recipes. My grandson married college grad from he went to school with that from India, her folks live here in the US. I cook vegan for her and got all my recipes from Pin. She thinks I'm the best as good as any place to eat out she is just learning. In your case, without consulting a doctor you should not stop the medicine. Consult a doctor first.Slowly reduce dependence on drugs once your body is accustomed to a lchf diet.Reduce carb.Change to green salad with vege soup with out any fruit.You can apply butter in soup may be palak or tomato.Increase nuts in your diet.exercise and calmness with prayanam also help.Thanks
Hey guys I think I am ok now.I have stopped taking breakfast and feeling much better now. I think it's because the exhausting exercise I am doing.I am following 12 hours intermittent fasting plan. My pps is 127 but fs remains between 150-160. I googled and found that it is 'dawn phenomenon'. So how can I overcome it?
1. First get the HbA1c checked.
2. If possible, go for GTT test as well (Glucose Tolerance Test)
3. After seeing the results, then make a simple and proper plan for the diet, excercise routine for a fixed period (say 3 months), and then retest same at same lab or test centre.
4. I too do not like to take medicines, but do not stop immediately as many have suggested. Yes its true you should consult Doctors before stopping Medicine. Obviously most or No Doctor would encourage you to stop medications abruptly. Like Durham24, suggested Take Ayurvedic (Madhunasini vati) tabs. I too take this whenever i think i had taken a bit more carbs. Again, not really sure it is working or not, as I not researched much on it by testing my sugar levels, after taking this tab.
5. So far LCHF is best, as far as I know.
