I am sanjay Shah and my fbs is 200 And ppbs is 300 I am on medicine in morning 22 units of mixtard 30 insulin before and glycifage m2 -1

What should I do to normalise my diabetes. In since six year my diabetes

Never become normal. Pl. Suggest

Morning-one cup tea with 1/2 t.s. sugar and 2-3 khaki as.

Lunch 3 roti + one bol dal + one bowl subjI + 2 st rice.

At 4 pm tea and nashta

Dinner as lunch.

Looking at your intake it is mostly carb loaded. You are hardly eating protein and fat. First thing you have to do is gradually reduce your carb consumption. Stop adding sugar to anything you drink or eat. Then stop eating bakery products and all processed food. Reduce your chapati/roti. Avoid rice totally.

Replace roti with sabjis and salads. Add sprouted and cooked beans to your meals. Peanuts, almonds can be taken for in between snacks.

Whatever carbs are reduced have to be replaced with protein and fat.

Slowly add butter, paneer, cheese to your diet.

While reducing carbs you have to monitor BS closely as you are on insulin dosage. For further information visit the following sites.

heavy meals like a person 100% normal. Reduce to 50%, 5-6 meals divided, total Kcal intake should be less than 1500.

Being a Gujarati your normal diet would include sweets and oil which you need to cut down. Switch over to foxtail millet. Take small portions at frequent intervals. If you happen to take Janumet, you get free diet consultancy from SPARSH.

Thanks for reply. Being a gujarati I am but I'm not consuming much sweet or starchy food and my age is 53. Pl. Suggest

Even 1/2 teaspoon sugar is very bad. Go sugarless for tea and request you family to totally, I mean totally avoid any trace of sugar, jaggery, and other sweet dyr fruits like kajur, mangoes, bananas, chikoos, grapes etc. Consultant a good endocrinologist and stick strictly to that medicine, diet, exercises.

Be sure your dietary regimen,exercise regimen and antidibetic drugs are not for your problem you will need a change
