My wife is suffering from Pampigus Vlugaris for the past 10 years and Dr advised her to take Steriods-Wysoline. When ever she takes, there is side effect also and she gets anger, deprression etc.
Can any body suggest any natural cure . She is not able to take any food , no sleep in the night.

For both. Psoriasis flares up because of environmental factors as well as foods. Couldn't pemphigus flare ups be triggered by similar factors?
Tampering with drugs or taking two types of medicines together can be dangerous. Presently some one I know is in ICU with kidney failure because of such an experiment for liver cirrhosis.
Trying out unknown medicines touted by mushrooming Ayurvedics is dangerous. But trying to change food and environment is not. It could help.
Do you know that people can be allergic to stainless steel? I am. It is the nickel in it that causes allergy. Leather is another trouble maker. Some leather footwear gives me psoriasis like symptoms. But plastics are OK for me. I was told that I have psoriasis but I found that avoiding underclothes with steel hooks, ladles with steel handles and leather and also avoiding too much fish, keeps me in perfect skin condition.
Skin conditions are agonising. You always worry whether other people are put off by your appearance. You have to suffer the
Itches and flare ups.
Prayer also helps as it calms the mind and gives you hope. Religion does not really matter ( whether hindu, Christian, Jain etc)
Chromium and nickel are used in Stainless Steel and leather processing.
Why is Stainless Steel Stainless and shining? Is it really inert?

That was really an eye opener.
Never realized that things such as steel, leather, etc could also be a cause.
My wife suddenly develops rashes on her legs ( usually near & in winter, but not necessarily, as she has developed it now & it is not yet winter ) & then even a little bit of scratching leads to severe bleeding. She does not have diabetes or any other problem except for High BP ( I don't have to tell you, who the cause is 
)
Do not know if you have come across such a thing or are aware of some natural ways to deal with it ?
Will check out if there is any association with change in footwear.

I too had the problem. It could be the detergent. Do you use a washing machine? How many times does it rinse? I replaced my detergent and now have a washing machine with 1+2 rinses.
I searched the Net to find which Company takes care to see that the detergent does not cause allergy.
I also constantly moisturise, especially after bath and use only Pears or shower gel for bath.
Psoriasis is an immune modulated disease, whatever that may be and can be very severe.

I use a washing machine & under normal programs, it has a single rinse. Under another program, it has 2 rinses.
Will check about the detergent also.
Will ask her to try Pears on a continuous basis & also try Shower gel, instead of using it only in winter.

Laundry detergent residue can also cause allergies especially where clothes rub against the body. Additional rinse and experimenting with brands may help. I replaced Surf with Ariel. Allergy may be from the perfume in the detergent. Moisturise after every wash. Plain Vaseline would be enough if applied on damp skin. Towel dry the body after bath, including legs. Then apply a little oil/ Vaseline or moisturiser. Home made organic coconut oil, shea butter and beeswax balm recipe is available on the Net if Organic is your preference.

I will monitor the detergent powders & their roles in her problem & will go for the 2 rinse program in the machine.
She used to apply Vaseline earlier, but I have not lately noticed her doing it ( might be, my noticing power has gone down with respect to her & vice versa ). Will check out with her.

Pears is the best soap for sensitive skin . My father uses it for shaving.

We had this notion of using it only in winter.
Somehow, I never liked Pears, always used to get a feeling, as if, the grime has not been washed away & it used to leave my face a shade darker, not that there is much scope for that .
As for using it for shaving - "Who me ?? "
I am one lazy person, I don't shave.
But then Yes, I'll ask my wife to go ahead with it on a regular basis & see how it goes.

"Ordinary Glycerine soap". That is a new one to me. These shopkeepers are always selling / showing us perfumed stuff. I was not even aware of it. Will check out definitely.

Sometimes even the rubber slippers we wear at home can cause these rashes. It happened with me once and I immediately recognised the problem. It was a new Bata rubber slipper that I had to discard and buy a new one (this time Paragon). The problem was solved immediately.

Regarding the footwear, it came to mind, as she had recently changed her walking shoes & had asked her. But it was not the cause, as she said that the problem was there, even before the start of wearing of new shoes.
Currently the problem is not there & she is using vaseline moisturisers on her legs.

I went hunting for MRA13 to see how do I resemble her and lo and behold our thought processes nearly match. Good observation, Shishir. The best vaseline is the plain petroleum vaseline for all during winters. Do not go for any perfumed items, if you want a smooth, soft and delectable skin.

Sorry to read about your problem. My sympathies are with u & your family. In 1975 my wife also developed Pemphigus Vul. The treatment was started with 60 mg. of wysolone. I consulted an homeopath and he gave certain medicines with the instruction that I taper the amount of wysolone gradually. In one month we reduced the dose of wysolone to 5 mg daily. There after the homeopath (Who was formerly an allopath) said further reduction in the dose of wysolone will be harmful. This 5mg of wysolone was given by me till last year. Now a lighter version of steroid Deflacort is being given to her. She is leading a normal life. NO bullae ever appear if the dose is not missed.
Consult a reputed homeo physician. She is now running in her 79th year, quite healthy and leading a normal life.

Pemphigus is an auto immune disease and is not caused by any allergy.

I manage stress through prayer and meditation.
Allergies can trigger itch, itch leads to trauma and stress on skin, which can cause a flare up.
My psoriasis could be contact dermatitis, were it not for the pitting of nails at times. Ayurveda says it is because of impure blood through eating opposing foods like fish and curds together. It is the wisdom of ages.

Would prefer to first find out if the source & solution of the problem lies at our end. If that is unsuccessful, will definitely advice her to visit a dermatologist.
As to medicine for BP being the cause, she takes it all year round & these rashes occur occassionally & not thro out the year. Currently, I am trying to co-relate any changes in detergent powder, bathing soap, deos, perfumes, talc, etc. But will definitely keep in mind & ask her to inform the dermatologist about the BP tablet she is taking, if she is happens to visit him.

Take care of your wife. Keep her happy. There are so many ways to help her in day to day activities. Give special care as if she is your daughter. 50 % depression and her anger will go. Once she convinced she will take food normally and swill sleep nicely. It is in your hand only. All the best.

Take her to KEM hospital Mumbai where Dr Uday Khopkar Hod of Skin Department have very good treatment for PV ,even my wife was treated for the same she is from PV she was given 4 inj of Rituximab under guidance of Dr Khopkar, she is fine now with no medicine.
