i have put on weight in lchf(2kg)
4.5 pounds weight gain in 4 days means gaining weight @ > 1.125 pound per day? =
Almost 4000 kcal over and above the daily energy needs. Something doesn't add up right. Moreover, you had mentioned that you had joined dlife.in/ Why not give/share all details as there are many LCHF diabetics there to guide you.
Anil Gupta reported the same weight gain. Serious thought to be given.
Anil Gupta mentioned few facts which someone called as being "diplomatic to hide LCHF failure".
Sometimes negativity takes over logical thinking. Eating pizzas, ice creams and halwas regularly is not LCHF.

LCHF never fails if one knows how to count carbs/fat/proteins and sticks to diet. People lose weight on LCHF. If anyone gains weight, they are eating too many carbs which leads to higher insulin in blood and that promotes weight gain. But, this is only known to people who follow LCHF and have been through that plan without deviating.
And, to gain 1.125 pound/day are you eating 400 grams butter or oil a day if on LOW CARBS (not reduced carbs)?
I have always said before something is adopted please understand and think about it. But persuasion over takes logic somes times with disastrous consequences.
may be my weigfhing scales can be wrong..i.e.after 60 kg the scale may be nonlinear. i will check in another place. But definitely some weight gain is there and also fat loss. as i can see in my finger ring and pants a bit cmfortable. may be bone mass is increasing and later follwed by fat loss. two dyas more and a clear picture may come.
No dear kcpl.,i think., a big scoop of butter cannot be more than 30 gms.lets say all the fat in a day i consume cannot exceed 100 gms.and rice cannot exceed 300gms/day.(Actually my unccoked rice might fall in 50gms ) .so either water retention might be taking place.

300 grams cooked rice a day is even by most conservative view is 120 grams uncooked rice. This is because cooked rice can be max of 60% water. Now, 120 grams uncooked rice alone is 80+ grams carbs. Add carbs from other things. If it is 50:50 then uncooked rice is 150 grams which is well over 100 grams carbs. This is where the diet doesn't fall in LCHF range.
In fact, 300 grams cooked rice eating in a single meal is a alternative for 75 grans OGTT at home, in case glucose is about available. This should help you to evaluate where your carb count is.
Thank u. i shall note this weight to carb ratio.
There's a detailed explanation of how to count carbs on the other site where you also are. Counting is the first step of LCHF because LCHF doesn't use vague terms like "moderate carbs" or "reduce carbs". It is pretty much a science.
Another important observation is constipation set in and the amount of urine outflow also reducedd even thoughbody energy is showing good levels. only yesterdya the symptoms started easing so i said a clear picture may come in 2 more days. only yeterday i took met. and blood sugar came down. the rest of days it was hovering at 200-250+. (i did not take meds then., ayur./homeo/allo). so the weight gain can be attributed to not following meds. also.thanku for hearing me
i think individual metabolisms may respond initially different from one another depending on what is called his prakriti. and a uniform standard may be difficult.
After 4 -5 times going to loo., emptying my bowels came down to 94 kg. i.e 1 kg loss in 4 days ..
@sridhaer - So logic rules and logic will never fail if "rules of the game" are followed!
Yes kcpl if only we sync with logical we will not fail.
The rules are tricky to understand as responses differ from person to person but only for some time.the basic rules if understood and followed then definitely success will be there

Anup is already interacting with you on dlife.in/
In addition, there you will have diabetics living on LCHF guiding you constructively. Out here, even one small opportunity to attack LCHF for some vague reasons is over-enthusiastically attended to by few.
Dear Sridharji. There is well said proverb that anything of excess is bad.The butter, olive oil and cheese are all low in carb.Probably taking too much of these .Please reduce the quantity and follow strictly LCHF.You will reduce. Thanks
Thanku sir
