It is better to have Hba1c <5.6. FBS of 124 is high one. What is your PPBS?

It's called dawn phenomenon. Read here phlaunt.com/diabetes/175611...

will LCHF cure the dawn phenomenon ?

LCHF diet will help in bringing down FBS. But it depends on individual. Some diet adjustments or medications or both are needed to control DP.

You are doing fine. Try for lower HbA1C scores. According to medindia < 7.9% is reasonably managed.

hi medfree noted .but am wondering what is the reason behind the fbs not coming down? something extra to be done after dinner and before going to bed?

There is no specific as such remedy for dawn phenomenon. You can try metformin SR 500 after dinner. It helps in lowering FBS for some diabetics.

HbA1C around 6 is fine. Don't worry about FBS at all. As per latest suggestions, bringing HbA1C below 5-5 is not considered desirable. In case one is on medication for diabetes, it is preferably maintained above 6.

If FBS is ignored then after some time it will lead to higher Hba1c which is not desirable. Even after Hba1c of around 6 can lead to some diabetic complications.

Fbs between80-90 is desirable,PPBS will not go beyond 120 after two hours, that is definet.
