My problem is that in the evening I have to take sweets to control my sugar to go very low. Is it recommendable to take sweets regularly throughout without any harm. If not then what to do to stop sugar level going too low. If before lunch insulin dose is reduced after 2 hours of lunch sugar is high. Pls. help

Thanks for help. What is I:C ratio? I take Human Actrapid 20 units before Breakfast, 10 units before lunch & 7 units before Dinner.I take 22 units Lentus at 11.00 pm. Breakfast 2 bread slice with one egg, Mid lunch one medium recommended fruit, lunch 2 small chapatis vegetable and curd, evening 5-6 sweet cookies with tea without sugar, Dinner 2 small chapatis with dal or chicken. A big mango with a glass of plain milk (without sugar)2 hours after Dinner. In this way my fasting sugar in the morning is 70 to 120 and before dinner is 100 to 120. Thanks

Take Fenufiber. Take 15 gms of Fenufiber split into three times,5gms each time before break fast, before lunch, and before dinner. For best results take Fenufiber in presowllen form by taking 5 gms of Fenufiber, add 50-60 ml water , mix well for one minute, leave it for swell for ten minutes and then swallow. Do it regularly. Check your glucose levels

Please go through website fenufibre.com you will get full details

Fenufiber is debitterised deproteined husk from fenugreek seeds. It has good amount of soluble fiber.

You may have to reduce your insulin levels Fenufibre reduces glycemic index.

Hence it is recommended.

I have gone through fenufibre.com. The scientific literature given there only talks about regular fenugreek seeds and fenugreek powder - no specific reference about "fenufibre". Effect of fenugreek in controlling blood sugar levels is quite well known. Is there any such scientific study using "fenufibre"?

Kindly go through the per- reviewed scientific article cited in website. It is by R.D.sharms, Nutrtiion Research vol6,pp 1353-1364,1986, titled Effect of fenugreek seeds and leaves on blood glucose and serum insulin response in human subjects.Particularly Tables2, in which Gum isolate gives 37.5percent change in glucose compared to total fenugreek seeds.

Gum isolate is fiber extracted from fenugreek seeds. For full details of extraction go through the entire procedures section.

Fenufiber is trade mark for product which developed in properitary method by bitechnologically.

Yes, I saw this report as well. Pardon my ignorance, but this article also speaks only about fenugreek seeds and leaves. It also says that whole seeds performed better than gum isolate, extracted seeds and cooked seeds. There is no mention of "fenufibre", the product which we are talking about.

Again see the last reference in wwwfenufibre website, abstract, in which it is clearly stated that the glucose reduction is 37.5 percent using " gum isolate" which ( referred as Fenufiber in the website not in publication)to indicate that the fiber extracted from fenugreek seeds. This has two components one soluble and other insoluble fiber. The soluble fiber is polymer of galactosemannose in the ratios of 1:1.02. This has the viscosity convenient to regulate the glucose diffusion.

Further elaborate experiments were done with material in humans at NIN and also on obese diabetic model rats to elucidate the mechanism. This is part of thesis work one the Ph.D. Student. The results are published in journal of Diabetes&Metabolism September issue,2011. Check the journal end editorial comments in the same issue. These observations are not included in the website.Only human data relevant is included.

The state of a diabetic is like that of a person walking on a string-bridge. Every instant one has to worry, bother & be careful about BALANCE. In case of a diabetic balance between intakes & utilisation. That is why I decided to try a different route of management when I was diagnosed diabetic (Type 2) in 2006.

I sincerely wish that some type 1 Diabetes persons try the Long Wheat Mash Diet Regimen which CURED my type 2 diabetes in three years and enables me to be on NORMAL diet from 2009 till date. It can go in parallel with any medication you are otherwise following. That is the advantage of it.

With even one person (me) getting cured of even Type 2 Diabetes it is amply clear that the Long Wheat Diet can revitalise or reactivate Beta cells of Pancreas. Hence I do hope & expect that same will happen in Type 1 patients also.

Long Wheat is after all a common food grain in use over centuries in several countries. Hence there is no threat of risk; why not you please please give a try for a month or two. In Type 2 cases it has shown amazing improvement in 2-3 days itself.

Please read MY REPLIES part 1, 2, 3 & 4 to question AT diabetesindia.healthunlocke...

Like a licensed driver helping a learner, I can guide you to cure Diabetes because I am experienced by curing my diabetes (Type-2) in 2009.

Hi dear Indiacratus,

Thank you for the response. Before answering your question on Newcastle trial I would like to like to ask whether you are of the opinion that low GI (near 36 or whatever) food will cure Diabetes? If yes why are those diabetics who practice low GI diet are not declaring of being cured, if at all they got cured?

The information about AMYLOSE is new to me. Thank you for that. Let me learn more on that. By the way do you opine that it is the amylose that enables long wheat cure diabetes? If it is so & true, it is a very very precious information/knowledge.

Regarding the Newcastle Uty trial, you seem to have not read my article at appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... or the full paper completely.

Given below is some lines of my review included at appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... in my article:

'The fact that 3 out of 7 claimed to be "cured" have already been reverted to diabetes in three months (2 h post-load plasma glucose > 11.1 mmol/l) makes the result statistically non-significant - though NOT insignificant (only 4 out of 11 = 36.36 %).'

'In the light of this WHO criteria, it becomes evident that no one of the eleven volunteers of the Newcastle study is in the NORMAL or Impaired Fasting Glycaemia levels. Out of the seven (7) claimed to have been cured, four (4) were reverted to Impaired Glucose Tolerance level (FPG < 7.0 mmol/l & 2hr OGTT > 7.8 mmol/l) and the rest three (3) were in the Confirmed Diagnosis of Diabetes Mellitus level (2hr OGTT > 11.1 mmol/l).'

'To put it in a nutshell, as per the 1999 WHO Diabetes criteria - Interpretation of OGTT Glucose levels no one of the eleven (11) volunteers of the Newcastle University study appears to be cured.'

If I have not answered your questions completely, please feel free to point out.

I think your dosage is not correct. Try using human mixtard 70:30 as per consultation with your doctor.

OR

Try this simple excercise.

1. Walk inside or outside the house in the following rhythm.

* Breath in slowly walking 4 steps

* Hold the breath walking 8 steps

* Breath out slowly walking 4 steps

do this excercise as many times as possible - starting with 10 at a time and gradually increased.

It is possible to do this while you walk to your neighbor.

check your blood sugar level after the excercise.

if found acting pls let me know and I shall suggest some more excercises.

According to the result, try reducing insulin else continue the excercise some more months and when sugar level gets some control, reduce the medicine as per advice of the doctor
