Dear Shri Gangadharan Nair

Thanks for your inputs, I read from link provided by you. It seems buttermilk is rich in Calcium and contains @ 4 gms of carbohydrates which is quite low and we can include it in our daily rouitne.

I hope you may be knowing buttermilk is not diluted curd. It is the process of converting curd to buttermilk tat makes it a superior drink suitable for even sick persons.

In the case of diabetics who came to seek advise to follow the LWMDR (which cured my Type 2 diabetes), I usually suggest to use buttermilk or diluted lemon-juice to swap coffee/tea or to quench untimely pseudo (false) hunger.

Buttermilk is really a health drink.

"You must avoid taking curds. It is better to take the two cups of buttermilk. Curds have too much of protein." - Sathya Sai Baba
