I am 62 years old male patient having diabetic & heart trouble. During my yesterday’s Haemogram Test following abnormalities found.

In RBC Indices:

• RDW – CV is 38.2 % [ Ref.Range – 11.5 to 14.5]

• RDW – SD is 13.4 fL [Ref.Range – 36 to 56]

In Platelets Indices :

• MPV is 11.5 fL [Ref.Range – 7.4 to 10.4]

• PDW is 12.5 fL [Ref.Range – 15.0 to 17.0]

Rest of the parameters are normal.

Can any expert guide me on the above whether these are due to diabetes or heart issues and what are the effects of these abnormalities.

Since I was feeling very tired, having great amount of fatigue, all the time feeling very cold. Hence doctor has advised to this test also. In between my blood sugar levels fasting and PP were on higher side so as lipid profile also. But now they are under control.

Of course I will seeing my family doctor also.

Thanks in advance.
