I am diabetic for the last 16 years. I am taking glimestar M1 daily {1 tab p/day}. Now for the last few days I am feeling pain in my feet, especially at ankle joint. I checked my sugar and it is 126 at pp. Please suggest suitable medicine or action I need now.

Chronic diabetic patients will get diabetic neuropathy. You have got first symptoms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Control of blood sugar for all time is essential for the prevention of diabetic neuropathy.

Pregabalin is used to relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves) that can occur in your arms, hands, fingers, legs, feet, or toes if you have diabetes or in the area of your rash if you have had shingles (a painful rash that occurs after infection with herpes zoster).

Indication: Treatment of neuropathic pain in adult.

Dosage: 70 - 150 mg two times in a day (bid),. May increase up to 600 mg/day in patients with ongoing painand can tolerate 300 mg/day.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity.

Side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, visual disturbance,(including blurred visin, diplopia i.e, double vision), ataxia, dysarthria, tremor, lethargy, memory impairement, euphoria, weight gain, constipation, dry mouth, confusion, agitation.

I am using Pregabalin capsule twice a day [300 mg per time] but no effect, I am controlling my diabetes, as I am using very very less food
