Is there a permanent cure or control for diabetic retinopathy?

am 66 years of age with diabetic for past 23 years. Am on insulin 25 in the morning and 20 at night. Have diabetic retinopathy and find problem to read with glass and driving at night. Joint and muscular pains besides gastic problem is regular. Doctors suggested an eye surgery but not very positive of a cure to better the eye sight. I would appreciate receiving communication from others who have undergone surgery under similar circumstances I would also appreciate and welcome information on proper diat, exercises(Yoga or otherwise)suitable for a person like me. .

  • Prevention is better than cure, and correct management of your blood glucose levels by controlling your carb intake is the way to prevent deterioration. Keep your carbohydrate intake between 10 and 14 portions per day (1 portion = 10g carbohydrate), ideally 3 meals x 4 carb portions. uk.sitestat.com/diabetes/we...

    Eat low GI carbs glycemicindex.com/

Make up the balance of your meals with natural, additive-free, unprocessed protein and fat foods.

Once incurred, your retinopathy is likely to need surgery to improve.

  • Thanks a lot for the instant reply and for the advice. I will certainly consult my doctor for proper guidance in line with the suggestion received from you.

Please accept my appreciation for the time spared by you.

  • You're welcome.

  • To controls the overall blood sugar and diabetic control is what will ultimately control the diabetic retinopathy. However, if there is a substitute of stabilized Aloe vera gel(Aloe Barb den sis miler) call:9224955838,email:forevereagle77@gmail.com

  • Aloe Vera does not cure retinopathy. Laser surgery can be done but control of one's blood sugar is most necessary?

  • Retinopathy is one of the tertiary effects of prolonged & high diabetes. If you wish a relief, you have to bring down your blood sugar levels to normal values. Surgery, as already told by your doctors, may not help you as long as Sugar is high.

Along with your medicines & consultations, practice the Long Wheat Mash Diet which not only controlled but also cured my diabetes in just three years without any medicine. You must be watchful to avoid falling into hypoglycemia/low-sugar.

You too can EVEN cure your diabetes yourself like me.

TAKING MEDICINES ALONE WILL NOT BRING DOWN BLOOD SUGAR ALWAYS. YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR FOOD HABITS & LIFE STYLE ALSO TEMPORARILY TILL CURE.

Diabetes is a fundamental disorder. It is comparable with low voltage in an electric circuit. In both cases all connected subsystems will under-perform and will fail in due course. It will affect SEX life also, if diab is not contained. Diab impairs the glucose (SUGAR) & oxygen supply to ALL CELLS of the patient. You cannot compensate the resultant weakness with liquor, food or medicines.

A DIABETES PATIENT (also known as A DIABETIC) need NOT starve. PROPER or APPROPRIATE food can be eaten EVEN FULL STOMACH THRICE DAILY! Try to understand diabetes & conquer it.

While following the Long-wheat diet explained in the article referred below, non-vegetarians can have MEAT/FISH/EGG in moderate quantities as side-dishes/curries.

I was diabetic from 2006; but NOT diabetic from 2009. I studied Diabetes thoroughly, because it was to solve MY problem.
